Bus Driver Seriously Injured In Winslow Township Crash

An NJ Transit bus driver had to be rescued after his vehicle rear-ended a disabled bus early Thursday morning, officials said.

Six passengers were on the 554 line bus from Lindenwold to Atlantic when it rear-ended a disabled NJ Transit bus on the White Horse Pike around 6:15 a.m., NJT spokesman Everett Merrill said.

Three people were injured, including the driver who was extricated by first responders, Merrill said.

The Atlantic City-bound bus had departed from Lindenwold.

One person was airlifted in the crash, according to CBS3.

Winslow Township police were investigating with help from NJT police.
